Definition Of:

inclination

Dictionary of Kants Technical TermsDictionary of Kants Technical Terms
the faculty or object which motivates a person to act in a heteronomous way. Following inclinations is neither morally good nor morally bad, except when doing so directly prevents a person from acting according to duty--i.e., only when choosing to obey an inclination results in disobedience to the moral law.
