ANTECEDENT PROPOSITION
[L:111] The first part of a hypothetical judgment, containing the ground; opposed to the consequent proposition, which is the consequent of the antecedent proposition. In the unity of consciousness, the presentation of the antecedent and consequent proposition is "consequence", the form of hypothetical judgments.
