[A340/B398] The third kind of dialectical inference, the ideal of pure reason, is an inference from the bogus transcendental concept of appearances to an equally bogus concept of "the absolute synthetic unity of all conditions of the possibility of things in general [i.e., as things in themselves], and from this to the bogus concept of the "unconditioned necessity" of an "ens entium", entity of all entities.
