PERMANENT
[Bxl] The permanent in outer appearances, "derived" in the First Analogy, is crucial to the Refutation of Idealism; in the Preface to B Kant attempts to fix his argument in the Refutation by changing his argument for the claim "...but this permanent cannot be an intuition in me". In the First Paralogism, Kant critiques our supposed knowledge of the permanence of the self.
