PRINCIPLE OF CONTRADICTION
[L:57] The principle of contradiction is a formal criteria of logic which determines "the logical possibility...of a cognition." Namely, it is the principle that a cognition "be logically possible, that is, not contradict itself". (All self-contradictory cognitions are false; not all logically possible cognitions are true.) The principle of sufficient reason is the second criteria of logic.
