PROBABILITY
[L:89] The probable "is to be regarded as an approximation to certainty". Whatever is probable "is to be understood a holding-to-be-true [i.e., a judgment that something is true] out of insufficient reasons, which, however, bear a greater proportion to the sufficient ones than the reasons of the opposite.
