RATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

[A382] Kant identifies rational psychology as a bogus doctrine of the soul and of self-knowledge which "arises from the common and natural reason of men"; rational psychologists attempt to extend knowledge beyond possible experience, and thus employed rational psychology "is entirely made up of paralogisms (i.e., a certain type of bogus inferences mired in dialectical reason).
