[L:94] In discussing the difference between theoretical and practical cognition, Kant discusses unconditioned value of cognition, and the practical use of cognition directed to an unconditioned end. Kant suggests that theoretical and speculative cognition "gravitates ultimately" towards a certain practical use. However, this practical use is unconditioned only in the case of morality: "The only unconditioned and final end (ultimate end) to which all practical use of our cognition must lastly refer is morality". suggesting that to some extent at least theoretical and speculative reason "gravitates" towards morality.
